After much unrest among the business community of Hillsboro, the Streets and Safety Committee holds a special meeting for those concerned to ask questions and voice their opinion. The controversy centers around the new fire code ordinance passed in September 2009 and acted upon by the fire department in January 2010. The associated fees for the inspections seem to raise the blood pressure of many.

Horse'n Around for Hospice - Sat. 10/18/08
almost $6000 raised
Branded Ranch in association with Maher Medical Massage planned an all day event in which the proceeds went to Community Care Hospice. Events included horse trail rides, chair massages, bonfire, hayrides, horseshoes, stickhorse race, karaoke, silent auction, hillbilly horserace, corhole, sackrace, face painting, pony rides, supper by Squeals on Wheels and music by Joe Krump & Whiskey Gulch.
